Michelle Bernstein

Michelle Bernstein, LISW-S is a graduate of the Wurzweiler School of Social Work. She has close to 20 years of professional experience practicing in private and public schools, large hospital systems and hospice care, home care and private practice. Michelle has worked with child and adult clients in both individual and group settings. She has a broad range of clinical experience working with clients in the following areas: depression, anxiety disorders, chronic illness, grief and bereavement, behavior/ discipline and parenting challenges, relationship issues, stress and anger management, ADHD, and developmental disabilities. Michelle utilizes a variety of treatment modalities and techniques to help her clients reach their personal goals. In her current role as Clinical director of Naaleh Counseling Solutions, Michelle directs the agency’s outpatient clinical services. She is responsible for providing clinical supervision and facilitates staff training. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operation, Michelle collaborates with schools and with board of directors, in order develop new programs in schools and in the community at large.

Joseph Steiner Ph.D, LISW-S. is a licensed clinical psychologist. He trained at Fielding Graduate and Case Western Reserve Universities. He has been in practice for over 45 years at various community mental health centers, the last 18 at Signature Health before retiring. Joseph has held adjunct professor and clinical instructor positions with Case Western Reserve and Cleveland State Universities, among others. He specializes in mood disorders, depression, grief, anxiety disorders and ADHD. Joseph uses cognitive behavioral, family, relational and other therapies as needed.

Mendy Greenberg MNO, MSW, LSW, comes to Naaleh with a wealth of background experiences that he uses to run the Naaleh billing department, and support clients from diverse backgrounds. Mendy completed his dual Masters’ degree at Case Western Reserve University, while interning at Naaleh as a clinical intern and billing specialist.  During his internship, Mendy helped Naaleh to obtain it’s OHMAS certification and assumed the role of the Director of Billing; all while completing his second-year clinical internship at Ohio Guidestone.  Mendy, a native of Cleveland, spent four years learning in Israel at Yeshiva Tiferet Jerusalem (TJ) and the Mir Yeshiva. Mendy is passionate about giving back to the community, supporting his clients with evidence-based treatment and therapy that is individualized to every client's needs. He is experienced in treating those with ADD/ADHD, anxiety, social phobia and oppositional defiant disorder.

He holds a bachelor's degree from Yeshiva University in Psychology. While at Yeshiva, Raffi completed his first Masters's degree in Jewish Education and his Semicha through the Gruss Kollel in Jerusalem. Raffi has been involved as Rebbe and mentor while he has lived in Cleveland, at the Fuchs Mizrachi School. Most recently, Raffi has completed his Masters in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University with a certificate of completion in Trauma-Informed Practice. Raffi is passionate about his work, supporting his clients with evidence-based treatment and therapy that is individualized, to meet the client's needs. He has experience in treating those with addiction, working with both substance abuse and non-substance abuse addictions, as well as ADD/ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, compulsive disorders, and anger management/oppositional defiant disorder. Raffi is currently accepting clients that are in junior high school through adulthood.

His unwavering dedication to assisting individuals in challenging circumstances is fueled by his passion for making a difference.  Specializing in supporting survivors of sexual abuse and individuals grappling with addiction, Beryl has a profound understanding of the mental health landscape. As a clinical case manager, he provides invaluable assistance to those affected, going above and beyond to ensure their well-being.  Recently, Beryl has expanded his expertise by assuming the role of a therapist at Naaleh Cleveland, primarily working with children and teenagers navigating various life difficulties. With a compassionate and empathetic approach, he fosters a safe and nurturing environment, guiding his clients towards growth, healing, and overall well-being.  Beryl's commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others is evident through his extensive experience and unyielding dedication. Her recent work experience at JFSA in a financial literacy program as well as at YDT as the girls’ high school counselor have led her to specialize in working with older teens, adults, and most recently, couples, after extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy. In addition to her clinical work, she is trained as a kallah teacher.

At Naaleh, Yocheved works with adult women on a variety of issues specializing in anxiety, relationship concerns, as well as emotional eating. She is the author of the book “I’ll Start Tomorrow” and continues to teach and lecture widely. Yocheved is the host of A Deeper Conversation, the Podcast for Jewish Women.

She saw her students’ need for a professional and supportive relationship. Fraidy began her college education at Daemen College in Amherst, New York. She currently works with children and adolescence in the areas of anxiety, depression and PTSD. Fraidy enjoys building a therapeutic relationship with her clients and developing their self-esteem via a strengths-based approach. Fraidy is currently developing her skills to be able to use a person-centered approach in the treatment of her clients.

She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Art Therapist who specializes in working with behavioral and emotional issues in children, teens, and adults. She has advanced training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), treating a variety of diagnosis including ADHD, Anxiety, Depression. Cheryl has extensive experience providing mental health services in varied settings, including out-patient clinics, residential treatment, and school-based therapy, treating children, adults and families.
